ASA Files Trademark Suit Against Bat Doctors

On March 15, 2006, ASA, along with Rawlings Sporting Goods d/b/a Miken Composites L.L.C. and Worth L.L.C., filed suit in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma against two bat doctors, Michael Rogers and Troy Waterman (Troy9). The suit is a trademark suit under the Lanham Act, and also alleges claims of unfair competition, trademark infringement, and deceptive trade practices under Oklahoma law. The suit seeks injunctive and declaratory relief as well as an accounting of profits made by the defendants or, in the alternative, statutory damages under federal law, and seeks treble damages. Miken's New T22C6 
Check out the new $395 Hero Bat that Miken wants us to gobble up. I don't know how many suckers are going to buy this holdover until the real new Mikens come out in June but there's a sucker born every minute. Some people are so thankful that Miken finally made them a HR hitter that they'll buy anything with their name on it. You'd think for that much money they could afford a better name or some graphics that don't look like holdovers from a 1974 Thumper. Post your thoughts on the bat here.
